Overview

I haven't been as diligent at blogging as I should be. I guess life just got away from me and before I knew it I was behind. The main reason I blog is so I can remember what my kids did growing up. I send it in once a year to be made into a book and it's that time of year again and I better get caught up.
Here are the highlights of the past few months. First we made through deployment number three. Kent is home safe and sound and we are grateful to have him home. I decided I am done celebrating holidays with out my husband. No, I am grateful for all members of the military they sacrifice so much. More then we know.
Anya had her first really ballet recital in December. She invited family and they came. She told me since her dad couldn't be there she wanted a part of him there. So, thanks to everyone who came to support her. (Side note Logan took the pictures for her recital while I held the camcorder.)
Finally the biggest highlight is Logan turned eight in January. I can't believe he that old. I really don't know where the time went. He was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We had to wait for his dad to get home but it was worth it. I love that we are a family again.
Logan and Kent before he got baptized.

Logan in his new suit with his new set of scriptures.

He likes going to scouts now that he is 8.

His cookie cake. I didn't have 8 candles so we did 7+1. It works, right?

He wanted a telescope and microscope for his birthday. My scientist.

Anya at her recital.

Mark giving dad a big hug.

Members of our ward came the night before and put all these flags

out and tied yellow ribbons in the tree and our good friends tied yellow ribbons up and down the block. This was in the middle of a snow storm in January. Awesome!
